Therapeutic Category : Expectorant for adults and children above
2 years.
Mechanism of action : Ambroxol is a mucolytic and a mucokinetic.
Salbutamol is a bronchodilator.
Guaiphenesin is a mucokinetic and
expectorant.
Menthol is a demulcent.
Adverse Reactions : Unlikely to occur at recommended dose. Some patients may complain of fine finger tremors, palpitation, gastrointestinal disturbances, fatigue, dry mouth and dysuria.
Dose :
- Adult: Two to four teaspoonful three times
a day.
- Children 6 to 12 years: Two teaspoonful three
times a day.
- Children 2 to 6 years: One to two teaspoonful
three times a day.
