Availability : Strip of 10 tablets. Such 10 blister-packed 5 strips in a box.
Therapeutic Category : Oral bronchodilator for chronic asthma patients.
Mechanism of action : Salbutamol (beta 2 agonist): Stimulates adenyl cyclase. Theophylline (xanthine derivative): Inhibits phosphodiesterase.
Adverse Reactions : Unlikely to occur at recommended dose. In some patients salbutamol may cause fine
tremor of skeletal muscle (particularly the hands), palpitations, tachycardia, headaches
and rarely muscle cramps.In some patients theophylline may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, gastrointestinal disturbances, insomnia and Anxiety
Dosage : One to two tablets 3 or 4 times a day.
