Composition : Each 5 ml contains

Availability : Each 60 ml Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
bottle with a 5 ml measuring cap.
Therapeutic Category : Oral bronchodilator for pediatric asthma patients.
Mechanism of action : Salbutamol (beta 2 agonist): Stimulates
adenyl cyclase.
Theophylline (xanthine derivative): Inhibits
phosphodiesterase.
Adverse Reactions : Unlikely to occur at recommended dose. In
some patients salbutamol may cause fine
tremor of skeletal muscle (particularly the
hands), palpitations, tachycardia,
headaches, rarely muscle cramps.
In some patients theophylline may cause
nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea,
gastrointestinal disturbances, insomnia and
anxiety.
Dosage : 5 to 10 ml three or four times a day.
