Composition : Each tube contains Hydrocortisone Acetate I.P.  0.5 % w/w in non staining, non greasy, water washable cream base.

Availability : Each 15 gm collapsible tube enclosed in a carton.

Therapeutic Category : Topical corticosteroid for infants and children.

Mechanism of action : Corticosteroids depresses formation, release and activity of the endogenous mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins, kinins, histamine and liposomal enzymes.

Adverse Reactions : Unlikely to occur at recommended dose. Hydrocortisone acetate may cause burning, itching, irritation, erythema, dryness and folliculitis.

Usage and application : Patients should be advised to apply to the
affected area twice or thrice daily.

Daily treatment cost : Depends upon size and area of inflammation.
